ACM Molutrex is a topical solution formulated as an effective treatment for Molluscum contagiosum ( Molluscum contagiosum ). This benign, highly contagious, viral skin condition primarily affects children, especially those with atopic skin. The Molutrex formula is based on 5% Potassium Hydroxide , an active ingredient that targets the papules to eliminate them. This Class IIa medical device is an easy-to-use solution for direct application to lesions on the face and body, always avoiding the eye area and mucous membranes. Its objective is to cause a slight inflammation so that the body reacts and eliminates the lesion naturally.

Active ingredients

Potassium Hydroxide (5%):It is the only active ingredient. It is a substance with a very alkaline pH that, when applied to the skin, dissolves cells infected with the molluscum virus, triggering a controlled inflammatory response that leads to the elimination of the lesion.
Instructions for use

The application must be made by an adult.

  1. Open the bottle and dip the brush applicator into the solution.
  2. Squeeze the applicator well on the rim of the bottle to prevent dripping.
  3. Apply the solution with light, precise tapping motions to each molluscum contagiosum lesion. Do not touch healthy skin!
  4. Let it air dry for 1 or 2 minutes.
  5. Repeat the application on each lesion 1 or 2 times a day (morning and night).
  6. Continue daily applications until the lesion becomes inflamed (reddened). At that point, discontinue application to that specific lesion and let it disappear on its own over the following weeks.

Warnings

WARNING! This product contains an alkaline agent and should be used with extreme caution.

  • For external cutaneous use only. DO NOT ingest.
  • DO NOT apply to mucous membranes, the eye contour, open wounds, or irritated or infected skin.
  • Stop application to each lesion as soon as swelling (redness) appears, which usually occurs after 2 to 10 days.
  • DO NOT use in children under 2 years of age, or in people with weakened immune systems.
  • In case of contact with eyes or healthy skin, rinse immediately with plenty of water for several minutes.
  • Keep out of reach of children. Always apply by an adult.
